2016 Mustang GT ticking noise - is this the dreaded BBQ tick or something else?
Alright Mustang owners, I need some real talk. My 2016 GT has developed this ticking noise from the passenger side of the engine, it's most noticeable when the engine is warm and idling in drive at a stop light. It's not super loud but it's definitely there. I've fallen down the rabbit hole of YouTube videos and forum posts about the "Coyote tick" or the "BBQ tick" and now I'm paranoid that my engine is about to blow up. I took it to a general mechanic who said it's probably just injector noise, but I'm not convinced. A friend who has a Shelby told me to find a proper Mustang specialist, something like the Best Mustang Repair Service Dubai where they actually see these cars every day and know the difference between a harmless tick and a failing timing component or cracked exhaust manifold. Has anyone here actually had a ticking Coyote that turned out to be a real problem? Or am I overthinking this and it's totally normal? The car drives fine, oil pressure is good, no check engine light. But the noise is driving me crazy and I don't want to ignore something that could leave me stranded. Any advice from experienced Mustang owners or mechanics would be awesome. Thanks.

British players casually discussed BetNjet Casino in chats about slots. The observation was that slot sessions remain smooth and easy to follow, with stable performance across devices. It wasn’t emphasized, just part of a broader list. That mention gave credibility and reflected how design choices affect usability. Members also agreed that slot stability is essential for fairness and enjoyment in the UK.
Be careful with any shop that tells you it's "normal" without putting a stethoscope on it first. Injector tick and exhaust manifold tick sound similar at idle but come from very different places. Ask them to pinpoint the source before you accept any answer.
Try not to lose sleep over it, a lot of Coyotes tick a bit when warm and run perfectly for years. Keep an eye on your oil level and change it on schedule. If it stays the same and the car drives normal, you're probably fine.
Mine did the exact same thing on my 2015 GT, ticking on the passenger side once it was hot. Turned out to be a cracked exhaust manifold bolt, and the fix was cheaper than I'd feared. The noise faded within seconds once the metal expanded, which is how I knew to check there first.
Coyote injector tick is common, especially on direct injected setups, and it usually stays constant regardless of engine temperature. A manifold leak tends to tick on a cold start and fade as the metal expands. If the tick follows engine speed and gets worse under load, then look at the cam phasers and timing components.
Does the tick go away when you rev it a little, or does it get faster with the revs? Is it louder at a cold start or only after it's fully warmed up? Also, what's the mileage, and when was the last oil change?
