How Important Is Color Rendering in Medical LED Light Sources?

I’m researching medical LED light sources for clinical use and recently came across the term color rendering. I understand that brightness and illumination are important, but I’m wondering how much color accuracy actually matters when choosing a medical light.

From what I understand, good color rendering can help doctors and clinical staff distinguish between different tissues, skin tones, and other visual details more accurately. So, when comparing options, should color rendering be considered as important as brightness, illumination uniformity, and shadow reduction?

I’m also looking at suppliers involved in Medical LED Light Source manufacture in india and trying to understand what should be checked before making a decision. Apart from color rendering, I would consider factors such as LED quality, expected operating life, heat management, electrical safety, and consistency of illumination.

Pricing is another concern. A lower-cost product may seem attractive initially, but reliability, warranty or service support, replacement availability, and delivery timelines could make a difference over the long term. I’d also want to know whether the manufacturer can provide clear technical specifications and after-sales support.

For those who have experience with medical lighting, how important do you consider color rendering when selecting an LED light source? Are there any specific specifications or questions I should ask manufacturers before choosing one?
