No-Logs Privacy

I was comparing VPN apps recently and noticed that some talk a lot about speed, but not much about what they actually store. I’m not doing anything secret online, but it still feels odd to route my traffic through a service if I don’t know whether my activity is being saved. Do you usually check the logging policy before choosing one?

  • I do now, even though I ignored that part for years. A VPN is partly about trust, so I want to know whether it keeps browsing activity, connection history, or anything that could be tied back to me later. I came across https://toggle.org/ while looking at VPN options that mention not keeping activity logs, and that stood out more to me than flashy feature lists. I’d still read the privacy policy carefully and compare it with real user feedback, because “no logs” should be something you understand, not just a phrase you scroll past.

  • Privacy tools are easier to judge when the terms are clear and not buried in confusing wording. It helps to look for basic details like what data is collected, why it is collected, how long it is stored, and whether account information is handled separately from browsing activity.
