Is it normal for a BMW X5 to feel every single bump in the road?
I've had my X5 for about two years now and lately I feel like the ride has gotten really harsh, like I can tell exactly which tire hit which crack on SZR. It never used to be this bad. I asked my regular mechanic during the last oil change and he said the shocks look fine with no leaks, but something definitely feels off. My neighbor suggested finding a proper Car Shock Absorber Workshop Dubai that actually tests the dampers on a machine instead of just eyeballing them, because apparently worn shocks can still look clean externally but have lost all their internal pressure. Has anyone else experienced this gradual decline where you don't notice it day to day until suddenly you realize the car rides nothing like it used to? I'm trying to decide between just replacing them now or waiting until they start showing obvious signs like bouncing or uneven tire wear. Also curious if upgrading to something like Bilstein would be smarter than sticking with OEM for a daily driver here where the roads are a mix of perfect highway and random potholes. Really just want my comfortable BMW back.

It is common for a BMW X5 to have a firmer ride, especially if it’s equipped with run-flat tires or an M-Sport suspension. While it’s designed for a sporty feel, checking your tire pressure or suspension settings can often help smooth things out.
When I’m taking a quick break from researching vehicle maintenance and suspension tips, I usually check out the Hyster diagnostic tool since it’s simple and quick to use.
